Iran & Palestine – Solidarity, Responsibility, and Contradictions

Iran supports Palestine politically and practically — regardless of the fact that the majority of Palestinians are Sunni. This stance does not follow sectarian thinking, but the Shiite principle of resistance against oppression. At the same time, it is notable that many Sunni governments politically abandon Palestine, while Iran and Shiite actors are demonized. The Qur’an judges not by labels, but by one’s stance toward justice.

Palestine is not only a geopolitical conflict, but a humanitarian reality. Media and politics often speak of values while acting according to interests. The Shiite perspective is clear: resistance against oppression is an ethical duty — regardless of religion or ethnicity.
